As a young man, he was an athlete of FCFerreiras in the youth team and athlete of the national triathlon team and national triathlon champion. He then graduated in Lisbon from the Faculty of Sciences and has taken a number of training courses in sport, at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana and in the United Kingdom.

He currently works as a swimming trainer and triathlon trainer, among others related to sports.

Nuno had in the past the opportunity to work with children and young people with special needs in different contexts, so he did not hesitate to accept the challenge of integrating the staff that works in the Special 21 project with students with Special Needs Education.
